What is coaching? (and what it isn't)
What is coaching? (and what it isn't) ADHD coaching is a collaborative partnership focused on empowering you to achieve your goals. It's about: Empowerment: Helping you discover and leverage your strengths. Goal-Setting: Collaboratively defining and working towards your desired outcomes. Skill-Building: Developing practical strategies and tools for managing ADHD. Accountability: Providing support and encouragement to stay on track. Personalized Support: Tailoring strategies to your unique needs and neurotype. Coaching is not: Therapy: It doesn't focus on healing past trauma or diagnosing mental health conditions. Consulting: It's not about giving advice or telling you what to do. A quick fix: It requires commitment and active participation from you. A replacement for medical or psychiatric care: A coach does not provide medical advice.

What does NeuroZesty mean?NeuroZesty is a play on the term Neurodiversity. Within the neurodivergent community there are several playful and positive terms used to describe neurodiversity such as Neurospicy, and Neurofancy. NeuroZesty was coined by my husband as I was looking for a name for my coaching business. I adopted it as it celebrates the zest and joy that neurological diversity brings to the human experience. Just as a thriving ecosystem requires diverse plants, such as shade trees, fruit trees, shelter trees, etc., humanity flourishes with neurological diversity. Different brain wirings bring varied perspectives, problem-solving approaches, strengths, and talents. This diversity is essential for the progress and resilience of both society as a whole as well as smaller communities and businesses. Embracing neurodiversity means recognizing that these differences are not deficits, but valuable contributions to our collective growth and understanding.

What does the coaching process look like? The process begins with the complimentary consultation call. During this 15 minute call you can share what has brought you to seek coaching at this time, describe your current challenges, and ask any questions you have. It's a no-pressure way to see if we're a good fit. The next step is the Strategy and Planning session. During this 90 minute session we will take a deeper dive into the challenges you are facing. We will pave the way for targeted coaching by designing a roadmap from where you are to where you want to be, and begin to identify the obstacles in your path. Then we really get to work! Over the next 12 weeks we will hold weekly coaching sessions, 45 minutes each. Each session is a dedicated time to navigate challenges and build your personal strategies. For many, the end of the initial 3 months is a good time to end our sessions as they have either met their goals or feel that they are well on their way to do so. For others, continued work is beneficial. For those who wish to continue there are two avenues. The first being continued weekly sessions, the other is holding Maintenance sessions. Maintenance sessions (20 minutes each) are available for alumni seeking ongoing support or focused problem-solving after completing a three-month package.
